Trip to the West Bank City of Hevron on a rainy day in late December 2010.

The tour was conducted by the "Breaking the Silence" organization of Israeli soldiers who have served in the West Bank. Click their name above for more info on their agenda. They have a definite bias which these photos show. BTS's primary stated goal is educating the public regarding the realities of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank. Except for a few minutes at the Cave of the Patriarchs/Matriarchs, we were only taken to the no-man's land created by the occupation and Intifadas in the West Bank and particularly in Hevron where the security of the Israeli settlers has become a top priority. I hope to return to the city soon and see the rest of this ancient city and the stories it has to tell.
