ARAD, ISRAEL

I visited Arad twice last November to visit my friend Judy Soicher (photo below) who usually lives in Bellingham, WA but was spending a month at her apartment in Arad. Arad is a small city (approx. 25,000 people) on the border of the Negev and Judean deserts. It's an hour's bus ride from Beer Sheva and very close to Yam Hamelach (Dead Sea). It's famous for it's clean, dry desert air and is a haven for asthmatics.
